With this guide, you’ll enjoy an organized path to endgame content and valuable gear while minimizing downtime and travel. Ready to reach level 60? Let’s dive into the final leg of your journey!

Levels 41-45: Tanaris and Feralas

These levels are best spent splitting time between Tanaris and Feralas, where quests are clustered and mobs are abundant.

  1. Tanaris: Start in Gadgetzan and pick up all available quests, including “Wastewander Justice” and “Southsea Pirates.”

    • Complete “Gadgetzan Water Survey” and “Thistleshrub Valley” for solid XP rewards and to introduce yourself to the area.
    • Grinding Spot: The pirates south of Gadgetzan are a great grinding area; they have low health, drop valuable items, and provide consistent XP.
  2. Feralas: Head to Camp Mojache and complete quests like “A New Cloak’s Sheen” and “The Ogres of Feralas.”

    • The Yetis in Feralas offer both XP and skinning opportunities, making them great for leveling if you’re a skinner.

Tip: Swap between Tanaris and Feralas quests to minimize downtime and avoid competition for mobs.

Levels 45-50: The Hinterlands and Searing Gorge

Next, it’s time to explore new zones that feature rewarding quest chains and excellent grinding spots.

  1. The Hinterlands: Start in Revantusk Village and pick up all quests, especially “Snapjaws, Mon!” and “Hunt the Savages” for good XP.
    • The quests “The Atal’ai Exile” and “The Spider God” are a bit tougher but offer great XP and storyline immersion.
  2. Searing Gorge: From Kargath in the Badlands, head to Searing Gorge and pick up “Curse These Fat Fingers” and “Ledger from Tanaris.”
    • The Dark Iron mobs near Thorium Point are a consistent grind spot with a decent chance of dropping ore and valuable items.

Dungeon Option: The Sunken Temple in Swamp of Sorrows (Level 45-50) is a worthwhile run for gear upgrades and XP, especially for casters.

Levels 50-55: Un’Goro Crater and Western Plaguelands

These mid-50s zones are perfect for farming and questing. Un’Goro Crater is rich in quests, and Western Plaguelands will prepare you for the higher-level Eastern Plaguelands.

  1. Un’Goro Crater: Start by completing “The Apes of Un’Goro” and “The Fare of Lar’korwi.”

    • Collect Power Crystals along the way, as they’re useful for later quests and can be sold on the Auction House.
    • Grinding Spot: The raptors and gorillas provide consistent XP and decent drops for selling.
  2. Western Plaguelands: Start at the Bulwark and pick up quests like “A Plague Upon Thee” and “Uncle Carlin” for excellent XP.

    • Grind on Scourge mobs at Sorrow Hill, as they have predictable spawns and good drop rates for runecloth.

Dungeon Option: Blackrock Depths (Level 52-56) offers high XP and valuable items. A group run here can yield great gear and should be done once you’re high enough level.

Levels 55-58: Eastern Plaguelands and Burning Steppes

These late-50s zones will bring you close to level 60, and the Eastern Plaguelands, in particular, will immerse you in lore-heavy questlines and profitable grinding spots.

  1. Eastern Plaguelands: Start at Light’s Hope Chapel and take quests like “Demon Dogs” and “Blood Tinged Skies.”
    • Grind mobs at Corin’s Crossing and Tyr’s Hand, both of which are heavily populated and give excellent XP.
  2. Burning Steppes: Head to Flame Crest and take on “Broodling Essence” and “Dragonkin Menace.”
    • Complete “The True Masters” for additional XP while grinding on the orcs and dragonkin in the area.

Tip: Keep any Argent Dawn Commission for turn-ins at Light’s Hope, as these tokens offer significant XP at higher levels.

Levels 58-60: Winterspring and Final Plaguelands Push

The last stretch to 60 will take you through Winterspring, a beautifully dangerous high-level zone, and the last quests in Eastern Plaguelands.

  1. Winterspring: Start in Everlook and complete quests like “Wild Guardians” and “Winterfall Activity.”

    • The Winterfall furbolgs in this area are a great grinding spot, as they drop valuable crafting materials and often have quick respawn times.
  2. Eastern Plaguelands Final Push: Complete the remaining quests at Light’s Hope Chapel, including “Houses of the Holy” and “The Restless Souls.” These will not only give large chunks of XP but will also immerse you in endgame lore.

Dungeon Option: Scholomance and Stratholme are excellent for endgame gear and XP but are challenging. It’s recommended to do these as a group if you can for the best rewards.

Additional Tips for Levels 41-60

  • Profession Use: Continue using professions like Skinning, Herbalism, or Mining to make money or stockpile crafting materials for level 60.
  • Reputation Gains: Focus on questing with Argent Dawn in the Plaguelands to gain reputation, as it’s valuable at level 60.
  • Dungeon Runs for Key Items: Running dungeons like Blackrock Depths and Stratholme can yield valuable pre-raid gear.
  • Save for Epic Mount: Try to save as much gold as possible during this stage, as the epic mount at 60 is costly but essential for faster travel in endgame content.

This guide covers everything from quests and grinding to dungeon runs and reputation gains, setting you up for success as you hit level 60. Follow these strategies, and you’ll reach the endgame with solid gear, money for your mount, and readiness to tackle raiding content.
